Well Phil, I must say these are the nicest shots I have seen out of the lens to this point. Thanks for posting. Also, is this the best thread to see examples from this lens? Is there another dedicated thread somewhere? Thanks.

Hey Phil! Nice shots again! If only got out to shoot more! Great shots with the Sig 35! I too love mine...so here are a few shots from around the house, and a few from work last week...

I use the Samyang 35 a lot with a 5DMkII and don't see any softness in the center.
I have done a FF pattern/resolution test & it's pretty good.

It looks like Sigma has finally built a lens worthy of being called Pro quality. While I wouldn't trade an L lens for a Sigma, after careful review I would recommend it for people in the market for a high quality lens at a reasonable price.
My only concern is whether or not Sigma is able to keep the quality up as production increases. They claim to have a new QA process but the retailers haven't seen any changes in the rate of returns on Sigma lenses.
As an Engineer, I love the concept of being able to alter the software driving this lens. I may just pick one up to play with.

Thanks Michelle, 3d hehe go for it and see what happens
Thanks Cory, I've seen numerous samples around the net lately, but nothing dedicated to this lens, maybe you should start a dedicated sigma 35 image thread in the alternative gear and lenses section, I would def. contribute to it. I PMed you
Thanks Gregg, UPS huh? My favorite sound when I hear the doorbell , loving that rosebud shot

Because you like labels too much? (performance be damned)
If we're looking at performance the new Sigma is nice but the stats don't support it being better than L lenses. I'm quite impressed with the images posted here but until Sigma masters the low light arena they'll always be second tier.
For the record, I do own 1 sigma lens. It has been a workhorse but it lacks the edge of L glass.
When Sigma produces a lens that can consistently match L glass I'll buy it, especially if it's cheaper.
