Both my 30D & 40D sucked at AF(with my L's)My 1DIII was much better and was happy till I started shooting with manual glass again and getting precise focus was a challenge,
enter my new Nex-7, what a difference, I have more and better focused shots with the 7 then I ever did with the 30D & 40D, I went back to reprocess some of my older shots and I can't believe how far out some of those were(and this was with AF)even the best ones were missed some amount, the 1DIII saw a huge improvement, I managed to get the focus point where I wanted most of the time, but critical focus was still a challenge with fast glass, this is where the 7 shines, I have gotten more critically sharp shots with it than any other camera period. this is the future, small & great IQ, once the AF catches up, there will be no need for a big camera.
