p.2 #1 · D600 exposure varies between 2 shots same settings

I tested a D600 here in Australia a couple of days ago. My intention was to purchase, but it displayed the much talked about dust issue and also gave me random exposures in Manual mode... plus it failed to record the shutter speeds in the EXIF (I think it had something to hide). Needless to say to I did not purchase it.

Interesting that I now find your post.... perhaps the exposure thing will become a bigger issue as more Manual shooters get out there with their new toy?

The aperture lever on the 24-70 does not move freely and snap back into place like my other lens. Anything I can do about this or do I need to send to nikon?

get yourself some WD-40, and you know that little gap between the rear element and the surrounding mount........

STOP! J/K....send it to Nikon...

It's the 24-70 that's causing the exposure variation. Sorry about the misleading title.

Not in my case. I was using the 24 PC-E

you turn exp comp by accident with the back wheel (front wheel is aperture). I hat that too, and have shot exp comp off alltogether. Check the settings in cam and change them.

No exp comp for me.... 3 shots just seconds apart with camera never moving from eye.

Shot #1 was same as #3.... so any accidental exposure would have to be up and then down again.
