Thanks Jim. I have couple of the HD filters. They have better transmission than my other polarizers and are easy to clean, but they give pictures slight yellowish tint and get stuck on some of my lenses.

Their best line is the SH-PMC (multi coated) High Transmission. They are among the best you can buy with excellent build quality as well as optical quality. You'll find several other brands that will also be excellent, but I do like my Heliopan filters.
I wonder how the HT filters compare with B+W KSM in resolution and flare resistance. I need to use the filters on lenses with collapsible lens hood. Do the HT filters have anything extending to the side of the barrel that would be in the way of the lens hood?
