... Navigation was done by stars. The sextant is from the turn of the (20th) century. It was my grandfather's - he was a navigator in the Italian merchants. Despite my screen name, I don't know how to use it.
... Text messaging was done by telegraph key and Morse code. The key is a WWII vintage J-38, and I still use it to send 'true digital', 'text messages'.
... The Fountain pen preceded the click and write ball point. While this Parker isn't exactly old, the technology that makes it work surely is. And yes, I use the pen.
