Mirco Adjust before anything else IMHO.
My 5DIII is the best focusing camera I've ever used. BIF not hockey however...

Yikes. Better is a matter of opinion.

Hmmmmmm so the 5DMkII is focusing better then the 5DMkIII? Something just seems wrong about saying that :-)

I noticed recently that one of my lenses performed better on my MkII then MkIII in low light. Used the Lens Align Pro with it this morning and things were tack sharp today on the MkIII.

I'll be curious to see if you find the problem.

well the problem is me, I know that for sure lol. Because if I take shots of a static object without ai servo its tack sharp. 5d2 never had this many options, so I was just hoping somebody has used 5d3 for hockey and I can just copy their settings without putting 1000 ugly frames on my shutter lol.

Not sure if linking to Facebook is opposed, I am obviously willing to edit my post if so. But here's my link to this year's hockey work. The beginning of the album is shot through the glass, and towards photo 60 is from the penalty box. This is my first season of hockey, so my settings/editing is most nailed down towards the end of the album (most current photos). http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.415886665125373.89729.274166112630763&type=3

And again, I am more than willing just to upload them here if there is opposition to linking FB accounts.

I have looked through these. For my taste I find most of them underexposed. Also I would straighten a whole bunch of them. Also I would probably shoot at a faster shutter speed. But then again I am no expert and I too have ony shot hockey for a year. This new cam just threw a wrench into my routine lol.
