Gross at a kill is a bit of quandary - when the blood starts flying I stop taking photos - experience tells me nobody really wants to see them.
I agree with you 100%...the photos I may take at a kill are typically documentary ones and not ones I would share....but I do like a little red lipstick on a cat every now and then.

Great series Eric, surprised to see the vehicles that close.
Douglas
Thanks Douglas. All the vehicles hung back by the tree she was in and nobody even turned on their engine until she had made the attack...once she had secured the impala we all raced to the scene. Even so, we still gave her plenty of room and didn't stress her out. And as important, only 3 vehicles were allowed to view at a time...that is why we moved out once she finished the actually killing and started to disembowel the impala...but I do suspect we got the best view and action..

Thanks Charlie...not sure why I would want to let the originals be downloaded.
Eric
Sorry, I just noticed that I miss typed I meant I WOULDN'T let people download the originals...on you Smugmug page they can steal the originals. Sorry for the confusion and great stuff
The whole series and videos took my breath away...I am speechless...
Seeing nature at work is cruel, but that is how one needs to do to survive...It really stopped my heart for a second seeing this poor impala got killed by suffocating and maybe paralizing...It is either to KILL or to be KILLED...You and your wife reminds me of SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST...
Anyway, thank you and your wife very much for sharing these wonderful and informative photos and video...

Joey
Hey Joey, thanks for looking and your comments. We were fortunate to get this one look at something that takes place hundreds if not thousands of times a day but without cameras rolling/clicking...it was truly something special to witness.

Incredible footage eric...especially of the cat looking at you with a paw over the gazelles neck.
you have a great 'eye' for composition bill
Much appreciated Bill. Some of these leopards seem to have a certain flair as though they know we are watching....I found that arm position....almost like a hug quite sensual....I suspect the impala did not feel quite the same way
