p.1 #1 · Tethering a D800

Can you control everything on the D800 from the computer when tethering? Specifically switching to live view, moving the focus point, switching between movie mode and picture mode, starting and stopping movie recording. If the tethering software can do all this, can those basic functions be controlled with a wireless input device like a wireless mouse? Do you connect the D800 to the computer via a mini HDMI to HDMI cable?

i use lightroom and usb cord.

but i only use it to shoot photos.

I think Capture NX can do everything you describe

^and do you use a D800? It seems they've had a lot of problems with tethering. Didn't work for me with sofortbild, for instance.

the semi recent update to LR 4.3 (not the RC that just came out yesterday) works like a charm on my d800
