@molson: On this side of the border, the D800e was not in stock across all the retailers, although the situation has been indeed improving over the past couple of months.
Although Amazon has had it in stock for a while now, BHPV was sporadic at best (at least the few times I checked) ....
I ordered mine a couple of months back but I am having tough luck getting one without the AF issue...2 attempts so far...I hope they will do a third...

Hardly newsworthy, since the D800E has been in stock almost everywhere for a few months now...
I often wonder if the people who start threads like this are actually B&H employees?
It's obviously valuable news for some people so why the negativity? I say obviously because many people only buy from B & H and there's nothing wrong with that.
Good news from everyone wanting a D800e camera from B&H. I pre-ordered mine from B&H on March 4 and received mine on October 3. Yes I agree, Molson is a sour pus#%*y.
I don't understand why he picks on B&H all the time, of course in addition to picking on new members... I never had less than a great experience with B&H, KEH & Amazon.
Just wanted to share an alternative with you guys.
If you order from amazon you get 2% cashback from them. If you use Amazon Visa card, you get additional 3% back. So you could save about $160, which is what I did.

If a B&H employee did something like this we would not look kindly on it. I'd certainly want to know. Should I wonder if people who frequently say critical and possibly unkind things about us here are actually working for (insert competitor's name here)? :-)
