I think that is the best shot of Wahclella I have ever seen, Nice job Mark!
Thank you very much Lee. Believe me I have shot it enough times! This was the last time I went here and having tried so many different approaches and angles I felt led to try to balance the two big boulders on both sides. I had never tried that before. Also with the timing (mid - to late June) greens were hitting their peak, and water levels exceedingly high. Again, thank you for the compliment.
It's well deserved Mark. I have been there 3 times and have never been satisfied with my shots... that falls seems to pose my biggest challenge and I have never gotten a very decent shot that I am proud of.... I think your shot is so well composed and the focus stacking is a nice touch, great greens.... now that I see that such a beautiful shot can be had, I have to plan to get back out there and try again....
Nice capture of mossy rocks and falls. You could also try a faster shutter speed to see what other results you get as suggested by another person. Either way, it would look good.
First of all, thank you everyone for the comments.

Thank you. I did switch to TV mode and did a whole load of different shutter speeds. This was the best of them in my eye. I think the main waterfall, when water levels are real high, is just hard to get any other texture.

Love it, Mark! This is my all time favorite waterfall. You put some hard work into this shot and it shows!
I, too, like a fast shutter speed with this waterfall b/c the water comes out so fast.

Wow, what a compliment Kevin. Thank you.
I will say I have literally been here too many time to count now. Been going here for 9 years. I have a variety of shots but this is my favorite composition so far.
The fully sharp depth of field is amazing. Great capture(s), most elegant image. Leaving Florida in a month or so to permanently relocate to Bend. Can't wait to shoot there. If you are there next spring call me.

Hi Mike. thank you for your feedback. I am jealous! My dream settle down town! I will drop by. My father lives near there and I go through very often during the spring/summer worshop season. I usually crash out at his home for a day or two once in a while.
nice image... love the deep, rich greens. looks like this was shot from down below and slightly upstream from the bridge? almost has an "Orton" feel to it, especially in the foliage in the top 1/3 or so of the image...
