On my screen the images appear to be quite pixelated?? Is this the case for anyone else?

Nice you might try pulling some detail out of the dark jacket and lighten up the skin under her eyes on 1 and a touch of dodging on her face on number 3

flickr does an auto-sharpen during the uploading process. If you're uploading small-res files, like 800 to 1000 pixels wide or long, the sharpening will make your pics look bad, over-sharpened. If they are high-res images, it doesn't really impact it that much.
