sort of - thoughts and comments appreciated.

Different approach here - using history brush, USM, and Gaussian blur snapshots and Georege DeWolfe's fine art technique for selective sharpen and blur.

Thanks for looking,

Bob

Sweet pictures that tells a good story.

Maybe just a little more separation from the BG?

Thanks Karen,

Imagine folks tiring of same theme/setting.

Bob, I don't think folks are tiring of the images but believe there is not much to improve on

They are well captured moments of universal appeal.

Absolutely.
No apologies!
My only suggestion would be to consider softening your daughters features a bit. Seems sharper than necessary and somewhat inconsistent with the mood and other processing style.

Karen and Scott,

Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes, that particular technique allows more targeted tweaks (at least in my case). I recall specifically hitting along the edge or her nose 'just one more time' for added definition - perhaps going over the edge in the process

I must check how it looks in a larger version.

Regards,

Bob

Great image, nothing I could add a all. I never know what to say when I see them.

Might be stronger with less blur on the book and hands as they are essential bits of the story.

Karen & Scott,

Again, thanks for your thoughts and suggestions - sometimes (? - only sometimes?) I lose sight of the bigger picture for the sake of detail and technique.

Bob; I intentionally attempt to stay out of "Family work" as I find it one of the fastest ways to start a war... I personally treasure your image as a point in time that can be revisited in your retirement years... Jim
