I purchased the Canon EF 40mm F2.8 STM Pancake lens.
Canon dropped the price by $49 just days after my purchase.
B&H refunded $49 to my account.
Thanks B&H !
Golly folks. My first impression was that this thread should not be posted on this forum. I started to craft a polite reply that said something like "I like B&H too, but I don't think this should be posted on this forum...". Still thinking that...

"I purchased the Canon EF 40mm F2.8 STM Pancake lens."...He is not relating to a Nikon 40 f/2.8 and events caused by its purchase...

Yar! [pirate talk - ignore]
I don't get your point, but that's OK, because you don't get mine.
Anyway, I'm just getting into my most recent definition of a new acronym at Urban Dictionary, with Jack White's Blunderbuss - TLTB - the louder the better!
I can't believe that nobody asked about TLTB before. ... what? Can't hear you!
I was in Philly last week so went up to NYC last Friday to go to the B&H store. Amazing, very cool, but in the future I will be fine shopping online. It was so very crowded and you go from the floor to the cashier and I had my order shipped to Texas. I got my notice late today it was shipping.
That is one heck of a store. I'd love to be there when it isn't so crowded.
Yet the price of the 5D3 just jumped up to 3499 from 3099. Minus the 200.00 instant rebate, it could've been had it for 2899 just a few days ago. Why the $400 increase?
I won't like them until they give me a new flash and a replacement 1d for the one I fed to the Atlantic...of my own stupidity. You know how like they posted about giving a 5d2 to the guy who lost one to stupidity, for publicity?
In all seriousness, I'm happy for you, but adorama or Allen's would the same.
I am actually returning my pancake to Amazon. It arrived the day the price was lowered by $49 on both B&H and Amazon. They would not give me the credit so I have to return it. Already ordered from B&H. Had the same experience with Amazon and B&H when I bought my 70-200 2.8 last holiday season. Amazon wouldn't lower the price even though I received it the day the price on their website was lowered, B&H gave me credit for 2 price decreases after I had purchased it. I knew I should order the pancake from them but the website wasn't taking orders at that particular time and I am VERY impatient about my impulse purchases.

Glad you're so satisfied. Thank you for taking the time to say so.
