I usually shoot a brenizer with RAW, convert to low res jpeg, then stitch. I know a lot of people do Brenizer with low res jpeg straight from the camera.

anyway... usually with my 5D2 I just leave the file resolution to whatever it is (unless it is a large stitch). What do you guys do with D800? Do you resize the files smaller?

Depends if you're doing a 5 frame Brenizer or a 30 frame. If 30, I like 3-4 MP jpgs to combine.

I'm using a 5D2 and just leave it in RAW when doing a Brenizer. I'll forget to switch from jpg or sRAW if I switch it.

Brenizer is really that popular a technique for everyone here?

I do it all the time for engagement shoots. I'm not sure if I'd have the time to do it very often for weddings.

@Marcus, boy that is one hell of a lot of detail for 1 pixel.

I'm curios, if the tools allow it, why not?

Why not? In the old days when we developed our own film and printed our negs with the ye old Besslers and Durst's - we cropped all the time. It was a way of life. Why are things so different now?
