You're right Ed, VERY lucky. But it's why I go out with the 500 f4 as often as I can, to be able to increase the odds of getting that kind of luck again and again.

Thanks my friend! I'm just glad I was able to pick my jaw off the ground as I was staring at him in open-mouthed wonder -- less than 10 feet away! I'm NEVER going anywhere without the 500 f4; it'll be slung over my shoulder on my BushHawk when I do my dayhikes and rambles...

Thanks Morris. I like to think that the turn of the head, along with the "expression" in his eye, gives a feel for "personality", at the risk of anthropomorphizing a bird.
