I like these low key photos. #1 is my favorite, with the rock creating a nice off center focal point.

Yes, A nice change of pace here. These low key shots are cool. I think #1 and 4 are my favorites.

I agree, the subdued light and treatments are refreshingly appealing.
Lovely woods to explore and shoot. 1st and 3rd for me.

thanks

yeah sometimes low key can have a subtle beauty, sort of water-color like in a sense

(i'm glad we managed to get this woods saved, after they suddenly sold off watershed lands on the other side and developed them, it made everyone finally wake up and realize that the highlands of NJ were under serious threat, eventually it all led to the Highland's Act, and many green acres purchases in the meantime, although between all the delays and extension riders, some critical places and habitats were lost, but luckily this was one place that made it and was preserved along the way (along with the far upper ridge wilderness a mile and a half away, the richest part of NJ highlands very nearly got covered by multiple hundreds to thousands of home developments and fancy private golf courses, it would've changed into a totally different state), along with many a gem, either scenic or for wildlife or both)

I like these very much. They remind me of the woods in Ohio. Lots of space between the trees and and a carpet of fallen leaves. Thanks for sharing!
