Blue and white definitely wins this. You found just the spot for to get a wide shot without the shoreline trees in it. Nice work!

Jim- the scene and the comp are delicious, and imo both processing decisions work well.
The first, though, also conveys a mood and a feeling of cold- so if that's what you want- then it's the better version.
