p.1 #1 · Ohanapecosh River

The SE corner of Mt Rainer Park.
Maybe a bit dark, but I like the soft light.

I love the soft light in the forest. Not too dark at all on my monitor.
Would be nice if you could pull out a bit more detail in the white water.

Yes, the light is very natural and perfect on my good calibrated monitor. Makes me feel like I'm there.

Thanks Bill, I had the same thought about the water, especially towards the upper part of the falls.

One of the most beautiful scenes and capture that I have seen in a while. It just makes me want to be there SO much!!
I would have to study it pixel by pixel to find any fault but the beauty of the shot jumps out as soon as the eye takes it in. IMO you killed this moment, and a beautiful moment it is!
Great work,
Greg

Nicely done, Zeph. I have been to the Ohanapecosh camp area and never walked the river to any length. This shot inspires me to do so.

How far in is this scene?

Reall cool shot Zeph. I'm very drawn to the woods surrounding the falls. The contrast and delicacy is inspiring. The falls itself and the nearby rocks look a bit bright on my monitor.

Hey John,
You can get here by hiking from the campground or your can drive to another trailhead up the road. Turn left (north) out of the campground and take the Silver Falls turn off (left), park. You can either hike north to the falls or south along the river back towards the campground. An easy trail...

Me, too. The light is nicely soft and very appealing. Nicely done.
