It looks like CC work with only PCB receivers to get meter reading. It looks like I need CSRB+ receiver to trigger my speed light and get meter reading. I was using other/ Cactus V5 transceivers with my speed lights.
I guess I should probably update you on my purchase.
I did end up getting an L-358 from KEH for $225 in LN condition. I haven't received it yet, but when I do and I actually get a day off work I will put it to some good use.
I just got to use my L-358 for the first time. I must say this has REALLY helped on my setup time! It also was a big help on my post processing time as well! I was taking Christmas pics of my son and didn't have to touch the exposure slider at all. Nor did I have to pull out a brush to pull down some of the highlights on his face. I was really surprised as to how easy it is to use. Thought it would be a little more difficult.
Has anyone tried the L478DR after upgrading from the 358? Just curious as it seems like it can do a lot but wondering if I need all the bells and whistles

I downgraded from L758DR to L478DR. L758DR has better build but L478DR can control the flash output.
If I had Paul C. Buff or Elincrom strobes I'd be sorely tempted to get Pocket Wizard ControlTL modules for them, and then get the L-478 meter. Even using just Speedlites I'd be tempted, were it not for the new -RT system from Canon.

the PW remotes only give you 6 of the 9 stops of range of the einstein and addition are 3x the price. I like the cyber system and the built in meter has worked fantastic for me. I don't even get my sekonic out in the studio.
