Hey Rod I prefer them to the Zeck caps because you can stand the lens on end. They go on, (or in ), easily and I've not had one fall out ~ Ron

You can stand a long lens on a Zeck cap if you don't use the handle on the cap. That's how I do it.

The handle was not detachable on mine ~ Ron

Mine wasn't either, until I used a knife to cut through the four plastic rivets that hold it on. For the next two that I bought, I asked Don to not attach the handles. Easy.

Rod, good experience with Aquatech cap on my 300 2.8 is. As others say you can stand the lens on them. Also they are made of Very soft rubber which could never scratch anything.

Cheers

I have used the Aquatech cap on my current 300mm 2.8 non-IS, as well as my previous 300. Works a lot better than the Canon one, protects the lens well, and is easy to get on/off. Not to mention you can put it on and off with the hood in place. Great product IMO.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, if you buy a new one, as I did a few weeks ago, the "Aquatech" logo is no longer blue, it's black like the rest of it. Maybe that was by popular demand, no idea, but either way, if you get one and it doesn't look like the picture, you aren't the only one. Appears to be the same otherwise.

I use the Aquatech on my 500 and am quite happy with it. I also use a LensCoat hoodie in my travel case for some added protection. I also find the hoodie easier to apply and remove once the lens hood is attached.

I have the aquatech caps for my 500 and 300 f2.8, work great, can't live without them. I like how well they fit.
