p.1 #1 · Nikon repair service "category S"

Hello everyone, i have a question regarding my nikon repair of my 24-70. It says "Cat S - single price - complete repair" ANyone ever see this before? what does it mean? Are they just repairing every part in it?

Is this Nikon USA? What is the charge? They may have changed their old system as I have heard that they have increased prices for service. Creating a new system would be a good way to cover up just how much those increases are.

It means they take it apart and replace whatever needs replacement, clean, and adjust it all under one fixed price.

I currently have two 24-70 lenses at Melville for repair and both were category S. It was a new category for me as well.

So what if it doesnt need any replacement? they just charge us 700 bucks and get away with it by adding this new Category?
