Hi All,
I have photoshop elements 10. When I shoot in custom modes AV when I process the image it allows me to save it as a jpeg if I wish. When I shoot totally manual, after processing the image, I am not given the option of saving as a jpeg only photoshop raw, tiff, and a few others. How do I save the file as a jpeg if I want to? I tried saving as a tiff file then importing back to photoshop but it still wont let me. I have never run into this until I started shooting manually. Help please!

Darryl,
While I don't have PSE 10, I do have PSE 9 and recently got PSE 11. Shooting mode has nothing to do with saving the file as a jpeg. I'm assuming that you are shooting raw. You can open the image after raw conversion as either 8-bit or 16-bit. If you open it in the editor as 8-bit, you can save it as a jpeg with no further conversion. However, if you open the image in the raw converter as 16-bit, it must be converted to 8-bit before it can be saved as a jpeg. You can do this by clicking on "image" at the top, then mode, then 8 bits/channel.
