p.1 #1 · ipad vs samsung galaxy for rating photos for lightroom
Im sure this topic has come up before but im currently in the market to get a tablet. I know for sure the tablet wont replace a computer but i would like to somehow include it in my workflow to be able to do the mundane tasks while im waiting around or watching tv. All i want the tablet to do is to be able to view the pictures and be able to rate them or pick/unpick and have lightroom recognize them. I understand that both tablets have pros/cons in a general sense such as the ipad has a better display but im more concerned about being able to incorporate it into my workflow. Hence, im asking my fellow photog's
So far here are the only advantages i see for either:
ipad:
1. Photosmith <-- even with the glitches its pretty much what i want
galaxy:
1. ability to transfer files to an external hardrive. ( i like this because on long trips i dont need to worry about finding wifi or if i brought enough memory cards).
as you can see the advantage of one is the disadvantage of the other. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. And id also prefer not to buy anything additional like eye-fi cards or bluetoogh capable harddrives.
