So I guess this will be good news for those of us who don't use Facebook and social media; it will help to level the playing field.
Hmm. If you thought the playing field had been unlevel because of Facebook and other social media, then you should have started using Facebook and other social media.
I've had a Facebook presence, although I already knew my client base did not use Facebook for their photo-shopping. This news doesn't really change my playbook--it means I can expect not to use Facebook any more than I do, but not really that I can drop my presence there.
My experience has been the same as Tony's. I have around 3K fans on facebook and my latest posts ( in which I tag the couple every time ) have been receiving less than 100 views down from typically 2-3K. I'm considering spending the money on facebook, I like G+ but none of my clients are engaged on there and I don't think their wedding photos are going to change that.
Well, I say to effing hell with Mark Zuckerberg and FB. They've done nothing but make themselves less valuable to me with each change to their T&C's. What's the point of me spending hours on making sure my FB business page is strong if they completely shut down my ability to be and stay visible?
If I saw value in their free services, I guarantee you I'd be more likely to invest marketing dollars to augment an already valuable platform.
Time to put my full weight behind the G+ effort. It'll probably take a year or more for G+ to really take off, but it's all good.
Hopefully, FB will go the way of MySpace sooner rather than later. Bastards.
You guys remember when Lycos was the big search engine? Excite? Remember Friendster? Myspace? Things change. So probably will G and FB. They already did.

Anybody have issues highlighting images on their page? it seems all goofed up.
Not at all. You can also now go into your images and they can be highlighted individually. New feature.

I'm in the same boat... this stinks. :/
Hopefully my local competitors who use social media will be in the same boat as you. Get more inquiries coming my way. Get back to the way things were before social media came around.
