p.1 #1 · A tree in Glacier-first B&W conversion

It was mid day, the sky was smokey and the light pretty harsh. I figured I would mostly take snapshots for the scrapbook. I saw this tree, and one other, and thought, if I had black and white film in my camera, I'd take a crack at creating something here. So, I shot a variety of color images and decided to see if I could stumble upon a good conversion for it in Light Room. I'm going to look into Nic Silver FX or some B&W software eventually. But for now. . .

Here is what I came up with.

Great comp, excellent light with careful placement of the sun.
Plenty of drama in the scene and conversion.

Cool. I wasn't sure how it would be taken. Thanks for the comments.
