p.1 #1 · Singh-Ray Vari-N-Duo on Nikon 24-70 @ 24mm

Anyone with experience using Singh-Ray Vari-N-Duo (or just Vari-ND) on Nikon 24-70mm @ 24mm...

Some vignetting (1stop - 1.5stop) is acceptable, but are there any weird affects due to cross polarizers @ 24mm?
Can anyone post pics @ 24mm

It's not going to work at 24mm. You'll need to get to about 32-35mm before the vignetting is in the usable range depending on what you consider acceptable. BTW... I have never seen any weird effects from cross polarization.

Thanks for the response... Singh-Ray themselves say, irregularities possible at very wide angles due to two polarizers. But not sure what is very wide...

Any more experiences/samples?? Thanks a lot.

On wide angles you can get erratic results with even a single polarizer. The effect is most often seen in skies where the impact of polarization changes dependent on the angle to the sun. It can get very noticeable very quickly on at 35mm or wider.
