Lobster boats were working the coast off San Diego at night when a fog bank started to roll in. Their bright lights, reflected by the fog, lit up the horizon and cast reflections on the ocean's surface almost to the shore. Above the fog, stars were out.
The white light in the foreground was from a diver searching for spiny lobster in shallower water.
