When you select more than 1 photo to export, is there a way to locate the watermark in different locations for each picture? It looks like you can only have one location for all photos selected to export.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what I'm finding out. What a complete waste of time. It's amazing that LR doesn’t provide this flexibility when exporting multiple photos.

You can come up with two different watermarks, one for landscape mode, the other for portrait mode. Do two exports, one for each mode.

Ain't that easy. My wife sees that watermark as part of the photo and not just something you slap on. What I mean by that is that she wants full control as to where the watermark looks best without taking away from the actual photo. For instance, she had to export a whole bunch of photos individually since each photo had a different watermark location and/or color, size, opacity, etc...
She wants full control of the watermark per picture and LR doesn't allow for this unless you do 1 picture at a time. To me that is a waste of time and something LR should allow.
