great perspective, you don't get to see these birds in a pose like that...thanks for sharing..
my wife and i aren't birders or anything, but we really enjoy seeing all the great wildlife that comes around in the winter out west. this year, in addition to our normal trips to the sacramento wildlife refuge areas, we will likely head up to oregon for the big eagle show..which we are excited about...and i'm doing what is probably my last mtn bike ride for the season up in the sierra..another sign of fall/winter coming!

Thank you, Richard. Not a 'birder' per se, either...just seems a shame not to shoot 'em when they're so prolific.
I was just looking into flights yesterday and just saw your teaser this morning I'm thinking about making the trip in mid Dec. I will let you know if I pull the trigger Monkey. BTW how far is White Sands from Socorro?

Looking forward to your 'sandie" pics. Interesting about the early arrival, have to keep an eye on that in future years. We didn't have much of a summer up in Alaska mostly wet and windy, it seems they decided to go south early. Lucky Monkey!
