After a very wet summer and poor showing of butterflies about 35+ of these critters turned up in my garden and surround over the weekend!

I do like the background here, but at this angle, feel the dof needs to be wider.

Thanks Douglas, appreciate your thoughts. I was so glad to have got the eyes and legs sharp I had not really think about that, so will take into consideration next opportunity.

Very nice Steven. Nice sharp eyes !

If you could leave the exif info intact, it makes it easier to try and make suggestions

I would try to take at least f/8 to f/10 to increase your depth of field. Play with the angles - move the camera around, sometimes just the slightest change will help with the depth of field and change the background completely.
(Note: nothing wrong with this background , it is very nice

)
