That is the german word for beaver
I do not think so. The main difference between ducks and beavers is the wingspan, right? And as far I remember Peter likes BIF (Beavers in flight).
Erm, I was going to comment but I'll not do so...must keep this focused on legit photographic issues

However, no doubt, that show has its followers.......just like Justin Bieber and Lady Ga Ga do.
Do we have to go through this everytime someone linked a DigiRev review? Don't like it? DON'T WATCH IT. And more importantly, we already know how you feel about their videos and we're not old and senile yet, so please... Stop repeating yourselves.

I mean will Canon finally produce a camera that meets EVERYONE'S needs at a price EVERYONE can afford? They're really starting to piss me off.....

Nobody can make such a camera, so why would Canon be able to
He was being facetious, poking fun at those chronic complainers who always seem to want everything for next to nothing.

Gee, I guess I should have known that by the tone of his voice.
the capital "EVERYONE" doubled in combination to his previous sentence ("Center point focusses in -3EV.....that's a gimmick? That's not a good AF?") gave me a slight feeling it could have been mentioned ironic.
I think Ralph's initial review and hands-on experience with the 6d was intriguing, and I'm interested in hearing more user opinions as people receive their cameras this week.
(Thanks again for an interesting post, even if we didn't solve Canon's marketing dilemmas).
Imo 6D beats 5D III and even D600 starting at ISO 800 (of course it has less pixels).
But it does not look to me that the new sensor is a "gimmick".
For me now the (only) open question is focus accuracy in real life shootings.
The tests I did at photokina convinced me that it tops 5D IIs performance easyly. But I was not allowed to put in a memory card to check the shots.
I guess I will have to get a sales copy into my hands asap.

The ONLY way to properly bring this thread to a close is for Ralph to get a 6D and post his thoughts and/or tests!
It will be closed soon, I guess. As soon there are more cameras out and some gere will provide us with their shots and experience this thread will be find its end.

Yeah, come on Ralph. Pull the trigger already!! Sheesh.
:P the problem is that I am pretty sure if I get it into my hands to test it I will want it.
I am already thinking about how to finance it ...

I'll give you $5 if you just buy one! Yes, you will want one, you already do.
ETA: Fine, I don't want to be outdone by Petkal. I'll go $10. Now you only need to shake the other 99% of the cost out of your couch cushions!
Ok, Ralphie, I'll pitch in $10 towards your purchase. The only condition is that from now on you'd have to address me with Meister Ueberfernsehenobjektiv Petkal.
You are all welcome. I am able to finance around 2/3 on my own now. So any donations are welcome and will be answered with more info about what the camera does (for me ).
In fact Canon should offer me one for one of the most read thread at FM within the last 2.5 month!
"Meister Ueberfernsehenobjektiv Petcal" sounds relly stupid (its same like "Master overtelevisionlens Petcal). But of course I will do it if you exchange the 10$ to 10 €.
I quite liked the DigitalRev review. I find that these reviews are for photography nuts what Top Gear (no, the british original, not the remakes from the US, Korea, etc) is to car nuts... Which is entertainment centered around a certain topic.
