I'm not a pro photog maybe i do about six weddings a year and I don't charge alot. My albums mainly consist of my collage images in Blurb book which I hate the quality and want to change. I love the flush mount albums but the the people I do wedding for can't afford them. I've done a few self mount albums and like them but laminating then trimming the images is a lot of work and easy to make a mistake. I've checked most all the links here for albums, but most of the websites you haft to be registered or have tax ID to get anywhere on there website or look at prices and some websits are so confusing to me. I'm just really frustrated I just want a great album to make people happy. looking for suggestions. Thanks in advace http://vallancephoto.com/weddingallery#hcbbc54a
Simple, charge more and play ball with the big boys. Otherwise as you've already found out your options are quite limited and leave much to be desired.
Also, stop the special effects lens flares and overlayed images, that style is soooooo last century.

Make them happy by making them pay for the album and your time like they suppose to. It seems that you are asking for something that is nice and of good quality but cheap in price. I'm not one that believe that you always get what you pay for, but it's still a gamble.
I don't use Blurb but maybe it's not just their quality. Do you know what YOU are doing with color management and all? How about design layout? Let's start at the beginning....you.
