Camster, fine pictures and nice lite. (BTW, what is that white stuff everywhere ? )

Here is a real PIF against a few remaining scraps of fall bokeh that I can still use for avian shots.
Handheld 1DX + 400 II.

Great duck sharpness with that lens, Shreeni, and also fine fall bokeh.

Good Afternoon Peter,

These are a few more from the woodlands, with the end of fall looming. We had a brief snowfall here mid-week, with all of 4 inches that was gone by Thursday.

All with 7D and EFs 10-22mm up front.

Regards,

Edd

Hi,

Still working with my FD 50mm f1.2L on a glassless adapter for a "bokeh-maker" with the deck flowers, still in full bloom...

Jerry, dude you are just spoiling my eyes, your 5D3 images are wonderful...stop it please, no don't
I'll join the FF crew soon, great set of images, love them all, the last with the 135L is...WOW!

Never understood this obsession... I thought good pictures have zilch to do with format and everything to do with skill, talent and luck... a good photog can make P&S photos sing whereas someone like me can be given a medium format camera and still end up with images that are average at best.

Obsession...if you knew me you'd think otherwise, not judge so quickly, given what I've shot with since 1970 and how slow I go through equipment, I still shoot film and in NO way discount the image maker...what an uninformed joke? And if you look at my comments throughout FM and a half dozen other photography imaging websites, other than just this one post, you'd realize my obsession is with photography, as most image makers are.

As for gears, the 8x10, 4x5, Polaroid, rangefinder were given away just a few years back after 37 yrs shooting film, it's only been the last 5 years that digital has had my attention...I don't hang gears on my walls, mat n frame gears for those friends n family that request my imagery. Photography is a simple joy for me, one joy still within reach. The new FF sized sensors look to have better light gathering qualities than my croppers do, their just tools to help the creative eye tell a story!

Simpleton not, as for skills that is for you to judge if that is what gets you off, I like to enjoy myself, have fun with what little body, time, brain cells I have left and what gears help me get through the day without screaming

Beautiful image Edd, the shallow DoF really makes for a dreamy image

A bit of martianscape...okay so it's a bit of my yet to be landscaped front yard, prepped a few months back but never planted. Perhaps blown in on the wind or wings of a dove, whatever the case, here are a few lone survivors in about 50 sqft of terra firma!

Shot mid afternoon, 40D, 70-200 f4L IS with a pair of aging n cold shaky arms/hands, hope you enjoy a few weeds, I did

Excellent soil texture and colour, and flower contrast against it. It's a pity we seldom photograph the soil around us, and yet there is so much to be seen there.......you did well, Jerry ole bean.

Thanks Peter! It isn't a spectacular sunrise/sunset or other striking image, just a bit of beauty often missed while walking about, or rolling as is my path. I'm doing my best not to miss anything, a few minutes under water and broken bits can be a good teacher, but is not recommended as a method for better seeing

The weatherperson seems to think my ice cold appendages will be getting a reprieve this next week...sunshine, mid to upper 70s...perhaps I'll get out to shoot somethin

Perhaps being underwater affected me more than realized...helps me see things in things
Have a gander at the yellow "thing" below and tell me what this image is!
A hint, it's a weapon of mass destruction for some...found in my backyard

Peter, someone stole my pipe long ago...shhhhh! John, no alien sunglasses
The item in question is something people use when ants and other crawly pests annoy them, it's a close-up; 50% crop, of the top of a RAID insect spray can...the center round bit is where you put your finger to spray the bug kill liquid!
