You know, autumn - of all seasons - is the one that resonates with me most. Probably has something to do with me being born in September, a Virgo. Always in a troubled state of mind, always off balance, always yearning for something that is transitory and fleeting, and never finding anything. Always in love with sadder kinds of music - Gothic, Doom... Oddly enough, that said I still hate autumn - as in the decay, the chill, the inexorable onset of winter and inevitable death of all the small creatures, and difficult times for the larger ones. Therefore I was never inclined to shoot all the leaves, the trees, the dark water typically associated with autumn.
Stumbled upon a local group of RC boaters at the pond a couple of weeks back. Peter, please note the water fowl in relation to the gunship, a formidable circle of protection. This is why I can't get close enough to shoot fowl at our local duck pond, their ability to shoot back!

I like the third one a lot - the industrial version of a flock of flamingoes...
Jerry
Thank you. I understand my photos aren't much technically or artistically compared to most people over here - that's why I am no longer on a pro route. Guess I'm just documenting whatever is happening around.
So here's a couple more pictures from that voyage - portraits of my father. I realized this time around that I have next to no good photos of him, and decided to amend this while I still can. http://cs302413.userapi.com/v302413358/2cf9/vkysGsw8XD4.jpg

Jerry, that is perfect again, tack sharp, the colours, compo and all.
It looks like you got yourself some real nice glass there.

Just had some fun outside, new toys!
And yes the lenses are great, could not ask for better, one fast prime to go, next year a 28 f1.8; the 24 f1.4L is just too pricey for my budget...right now There's a 4th shot, a bit of Rosemary...
More tomorrow I hope, thank you for your comments Peter!
I'm getting spoiled by these L lenses
