I was digging around in old favorites and ran across this.
Anyone care to share and resume this thread? I'm sure many would love to see and learn from your digs - everything from humble to grand. I know I would. Thanks in advance.

We also had an even older thread -- which ran to many pages -- dedicated to "sad makeshift studios" that was quite interesting. I don't know if it's still archived or if it was deleted.
I'd like to see this one -- with all kinds and sizes of studios -- take off. Repeats, updates, new ones...whatever.
My space is much too big to qualify as sad, but it's makeshift in the sense that it serves as an office by day. I use it for portraits, catalog, and tabletop. The ceiling is open, painted matte white, and offers trusswork to hang fixtures. 1st pic: setting up for a portrait as taken by nasty ambient fluorescents. 2nd pic: another area as illuminated by an effective SB of 12'x3' at 5' elevation (gigantic fill, and still thinking about a creative key). Remaining pics: image samples.
