Wasn't happy with the distortion but wanted to keep the image in the collection. This edit nearly broke me and cost me 20 minutes. Does it work for you?
because of the skylight feature. long story but I shot the first wedding at a new location and it's going in a magazine. As per usual the place was still a building site and this was literally the only composition on offer in there...and I quite like the minimalism.
I like everything, but what it did to the bride. I honestly just don't see the appeal of this 'over-wash-out' fad. I think somewhere in-between (on just the bride) would be much better. It's become too flat at this point... but that's just me.
This is a super-save man! Kudos to you on achieving what you had originally planned for - even though the before shot is very very average. Sometimes spending a lot of time editing an image is really a waste of time but often I find that it actually ends up teaching me so much more, post-processing wise that I wouldn't otherwise have learned had I just given up easily.
This is an awesome image. Truly creative. There's other things you could do, such as removing the shape in the lower half of the image, reducing the saturation of the sky etc, but it's a matter of taste. It's seriously arresting and very original!
