Articulating screens can be useful, but they bind you too closely with the camera for some situations and can be washed-out by the sun. A wireless heads-up display ought to allow greater flexibility and also accommodate keeping two eyes on the whole scene whilst selectively shifting focus to frame and make precise decisions.
I at least want a detachable screen and one that has much better resolution for focusing than my dated 1DS-mk3. They sell such things, but most of them need an HTML connector, mine only has one for USB.
Agree. This is really great. Often I'll look at someone's "snapshot" that they think is nice, and I want to ask, "What's the point?" That sounds kinda off-putting, but it's a legitimate question. What is it about the photo that attracts you? Some specific element within a larger view? Is there a story you should be trying to tell? Or is it a graphically compelling frame (or piece of a frame)? In this case, it's the latter, and you've capture it and processed it very well. To me, this is a portfolio-worthy image, particularly if it were one of a series seen, captured, and processed in the same way.
Portfolio worthiness ... that puts me somewhere between proud &
Now I just need another 25 or 30 @ this level ... which puts me "uh-oh" like that'll happen anytime soon.
