thanks

for the high iso ones: some, just in ACR and I didn't do any sharpening other than in ACR which was set at, I think something like 0.7 radius, 33 strength, 10 masking and NR was something like 20 chroma and 16-18 luminance with 70ish detail retention, i can check the exact settings later

certainly safe to better than my old 20D would've been for these at ISO5000

i can also post 100% crops later to show the actual noise characteristics

Wow, those ISO 4000 and 5000 look pretty good to me.

Were these handheld or on a tripod?

ok actually here are all the settings for the ISO5000 one (ACR in Photoshop CS6), NR was less high than i thought:

Temp: 4900
tint +30
exposure +0.25
contrast +6
highlights 0
shadows 0
whites 0
blacks +25
clarity +3
vibrance 0
saturation 0

paramtric tone curve:
high 0
lights +8
darks -3
shadows -5

sharpening:
amount 34
radius 0.8
detail 25
masking 10

NR:
luminance 13
luminance detail 70
luminance contrast 0
color 21
color detail 50

process: 2012 current
camera profile: custom colorchecker

f/7.1
1/125ths
IS on
AF AI Servo max tracking and accel

will post 100% crop later

(the low ISO one, ISO320, used much different settings and I did sharpening in post in photoshop for that one in addition to acr settings which were likely more like 20-25 sharpening and 0.6 radius and NR was likely 0 or close to it for luminance)

Fine work. I'm surprised with the limited amount of NR necessary in ACR. My 5D3 in no manner performs as well (in terms of noise ).
