Just put out a feeder last weekend and have seen a few already. Not sure I can match the beautiful shots you have gotten. Thanks for sharing.

"I think I should mention not one of these images was taken in a blind."

After I read that, Ted, for some reason I imagined you in a giant hummingbird costume, casually shooting while your fellow hummers paid you no mind.

Looks like 2012 was a fabulous hummer season indeed, Ted. I've enjoyed your posts, and this set is killer. Wonderful shots, all with 8 and 15 my favs.

After many...many...many hours of sitting in front my hummer plants, the hummer(s) had nothing to fear from me. In the early months, the shutter was enough to scare a hummer away. 30-minutes later, not so. After a month or so, I could walk up to a perched male. Thanks for the reply and the picks.
