Wowza! Not only great images but unusual ones as well...the last one is so sharp, beautifully exposed and the leaves add such a nice touch....well done Roberta!
Eric
1 is unique. but I am a softie for 2 and 4.Love the limited DOF on # 2.Draws you right to the little guys eye Doug M
Thank you Doug, much appreciated.
The first reminds of Rudolf when his dad covers his nose with mud Too funny!!!
I too have shots of them with pollen on their heads Birdie. Some flowers have stamens that stick out far and when the hummers go to eat the stamens rub their heads
While I do like all of them, the last one steals my heart. That is just simple beauty, well done
Tim
Thank you so much Tim . Glad you liked them
Lovely set Birdie. The last one is my fave. It is quite a pleasing image. #1 is cool too.
Ken, thanks so much. I was lucky to be there when it got stuck !
OH....HOW....FUN.....!!!
My suggestion in regards to these photos........more, more.
love all of them.........#1 is a once in a zillion capture.
Love all of these Birdied... but the first one is just amazingly unique!
I sort of feel sorry for that little guy... must have been heavy relative to the mass of its body.
1 is a neat shot birdie, but 4 takes the cake ~ Ron
Thank you so much Ron !
You were really at the right place at the right time to get a shot like #1. I don't think I have even seen a HB with all that pollen on it head.
Looks like you had a great day of shooting!
Thank you Emily. It was a lot of fun .
Emily all are very nice Roberta.. but #4 is my favorite
Kenny, thanks so much.
Great shot, you'll probably never see that again
You are probably right about that ! It took me a few seconds to register what was going on.
Great set Roberta. The first two are very good but # 4 is my pick
Thank you Lars, I do appreciate it.
Love it!! She sure looks like a wild child. The last one is really terrific. She is saying, "Oh boy mamas not gonna like this at all!"
Noelle, thank you so very much.
Wow, and you captured the blossom hummer in flight.
Number 4 is just outstanding!
Thank you Jeffrey, you are very kind.
the first and third are my picks and real beauties Roberta
Morris
Thanks so much Morris. Much appreciated.
Wonderful and unusual shots (difficult to capture with hummers) !
Yowza Birdie, #4 is hard to stop looking at for the beauty in the isolation and light, that shot rocks! One nit, looks like you have overtamed the whites in this shot?? The throat looks a little dull to me??
A wonderful set, Birdie.
Re the first image: apparently the gravity-defying hummers don't understand gravity . Aim your beak downward and the damn thing will fall off! .
Charlie
a posting from Roberta without dragons??
Must be a first, but what a first
Now that you have mastered the 500 we are waiting to see what you can do with the new 800
Your work is always worth looking at. A real pleasure
Tim
