Use a little tape on each end to hold one across your flash head, or -- if it has one -- place it under the flash's diffusion panel.
I cut off the "bolt" that holds them together and replaced it with a key ring -- a binder ring type, actually -- so that I could get to the one I wanted without dropping the others.
