Hi, all. Just wanted to say that this message board heavily influenced the direction I want to go in my photography. I'm not there yet, but here's in my first attempt (my only other experience was as a second shooter last year).
I wanted to keep the coverage honest and simple (or maybe that's all my skills would allow for). If you're wondering why so few bridal party shots...well, they only showed up 10 minutes prior to the ceremony (I only had 10 minutes to work with bride and groom). Then we only had 10 minutes after the ceremony for family portraits. Not making excuses, but that just the breaks. I'll have to learn how to better coordinate with my clients.
Good job for first wedding....
Welcome to Fred M. wedding forum.
I know you wanted to share a wedding ...but a smaller post will get you more critiques.
I would start off with what do you see that needs improvement?
The other thought....even though somebody says you can shoot up with the couple/officiant - sometime you need to ask yourself should I? Am i going to be distracting?
Overall the basics look to be there but there is under exposure and fluctuating WB.
I would say work on your basic photograph skill as far as composition. watch what fill the entire screen.
looks like towards the end lot of lens distortion.
Thanks for the critiques. The couple actually requested that shot, and I definitely wouldn't do it again without being specifically asked. Good point though.
Naturally, I'm a little blind to my composition problems. Can you give a couple example of where I didn't fill the frame well?
