Airport international opens up like a suitcase so it can't be vertical, but I can lay the camera with the 70-200 attached.

Thanks for that. I just wondered given the small difference in lens hight and suitcase depth that one could set the lens vertically and close the suitcase.

I believe I'll buy International anyhow as it is the best option at the moment. Setting the lens vertically would give me some more space though.
