My girlfriend has planned a vacation for us, which became an important visit to an ill relative of hers. Since I won't really be having a ton to do there, it would be nice if there was an incentive for me to spend at least ONE day doing something fun for myself...
If anyone needs a second photographer during that time (August 25 through 31), it will give me an excuse to bring a bigger set of equipment.

We have a wedding on the 25th. We were not planning on having another shooter (since it my wife and me), but if you are wanting something to do, we could definitely bring you along. You definitely do good work. It's not a huge-budget wedding, though, so there would not be a ton of dollar bones to throw your way...

Bring whatever you would want to bring to enjoy yourself :-) I would say think about how you would want to shoot if you had zero "duty" involved and were just doing it for the sake of fun. Bring that. For me, that would be two bodies with a 50 and a 35 or 24. For someone else, it might be one body and a 35mm and several other lenses. It's an outdoor ceremony at a pretty location (can't recall where the reception is, off the top of my head).
There might be certain things that we would want you to get, but generally, we are very much about letting people who shoot with us have the freedom to "play." I know for me, that is when I am the most creative (which I don't often get to do on a wedding day as much because of the pressure I tend to put on myself)

we shoot canon as well, and we have 24, 50, 85, 100 macro, 24-70, 17-40, 70-200. I shoot two bodies and the wife shoots 1 (she most often has the 24-70), so what I am not using at the moment would be available to you as well.

also, you would not need to stay any longer than you wanted to...even if you just want to come for the ceremony and formals, that would be totally cool with me.
