Super thanks Tom, you are mighty generous with your words!! Yeah the KF was bolder than most but still wasn't very patient. I almost paddled right into the YL, I was not expecting to see that out on the pads way far from shore I know of some more Grebe nests One in a high traffic area so you know the babies will be bold! Had to go for the turtle, the light was just right.
The last.. I wanted that shot last year but the smoke just hung in the air making that shot impossible, I was a grinning fool this year!

The last time I saw the Blue Angels, they were flying F4s. A super set Tim. My pick is the KF - just because I know how hard they are to get ~ Ron
Thank you Ron! The Blue Angels are an annual event here, been seeing them for 30+ years now. Yes KF's can be quite challenging.

KF is definitely tops of the birdies Tim with the Woodie at # 7 taking runner up.
What! I skipped #2 hummer, beautiful bg there and wonderful action too.
Love the jets against the mountain bg. I took some similar pics at the weekend here in Geneva that I might include in my next post.
Cheers,
Martin
Thanks Martin, I didn't mean to mix you up!! I'm sure you have some spectacular shots of planes against the mountains. I here that your neck of the woods has a hill or two

super set tim! that looks like a very productive pond if those all came from one place. i think the second anna's is a standout for because of the detail, although the grebe chicks are really cute too.

All but the hummers were shot within a small area Dorian. This time of year it can be quite productive. There will be more Grebe coming I'm sure. They are a favorite of mine.
