Got a RX100 recently to use as a second/lightweight camera on a vacation we were taking to California. It worked out pretty well - I was happy with most of the shots we got with it. Just a few examples below:
I've only had the RX100 for a week or two, but it goes with me everywhere. I like the colors and the lens, except for the poor corners, especially at the long end. The user interface is pretty mediocre and auto-ISO is useless because it chooses way to fast shutter speeds, which gives a lot of noise. I try to keep it below ISO 400 because of that.
Anyway, I don't think there's anything this good at the same small size.

I just got this Rx100 as a compact, second camera besides my D600. I like everything of it EXCEPT skin tone which is very un-natural. It's horrible !!. I think I'm going to get Fuji. I bought this camera not to shoot RAW...If I need a serious shot, I have my D600. Any inputs would be appreciated. thanks
For landscapes, this camera is superb. The lens is amazing, AF is very fast for a tiny camera!
Can a profile be made for skin tone adjustment ... rather than throw the baby out with the bathwater?
Some really quality shots in this thread - shows what a great little camera this is. Here's some more from a weekend ski mountaineering trip to the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park, Canada.
Thanks Sebboh, and very nice snowscapes there Vern! I must say that I like the colors of the RX100 much more than the OM-D (which made me sell it). Funny how a smaller sensor can be better.
Trying a bit larger images online since I've become a paying member on Flickr...
