Taken around 5-10 mins before the rains came, side light broke under the large distant cloud.
after a quick panic, this group of grass, poppies and Oats caught my eye, just as the light intensified.

Very nice shot here! I can imagine that moment of panic when the light just goes crazy and you haven't quite found the perfect composition yet... I think we all have those moments at times. Nice work with setting it up with those flowers in the foreground.
Morris, i was fairly low already but didnt want to loose too much of the distant valley and hill top / windmill.
i did think about it, and i think i may have a shot from another angle where iam lower, but not with this comp though.
It's beautiful, Simon. It has a feeling of expectation about it, as though something grand is about to burst forth. (Not that what we already see isn't absolutely grand!)

i am getting the prints back 2mw, so mr ups has told me 2x 24x16" prints ready to be framed. they will be housed in our temp dwelling until xmas when they will be used in a local art fair i have joined.
