But objectively I really thought the girl in the woods was second best after snowboarder's rocky coastline. Oh well, they can sue me!
Hey Bif, quite a few people voted for you photo so far. I'd suggest you follow the rules and edit your post. It goes without saying that you don't vote for your own contribution, it's egocentric and distasteful.
Well, if you're going to make it a rule after the fact that's fine I'll edit it. It doesn't go without saying tho - lots of electoral events both similar and different allow it. It's also not "egocentric and distasteful" either - which was an extremely rude thing to say IMHO.
Bif is of course right about many competitions allowing you to vote for yourself. I'm not sure if that includes the weekly and monthly competitions here though. Perhaps we should adopt whatever policy is used there for consistency?
OK, I read the July edition (also edited on the same day) as that's the month we're voting for, and it didn't say.
I assumed they would both be identical...
Simple rules:
1. Your entry must have been photographed using an alt lens (See FAQ for definition).
2. Your entry must have been photographed in june 2012 for this run.
3. One entry per user/month.
4. Starting next month, your entry must contain your top 3 picks from last months competition. That will result in a winner for each competition. The winning entry will be featured in the first post of the new competition thread.
Please leave the EXIF intact, and copy the following, adding info for your entry.
But they aren't I see...

Naw, it's cool. Brian is running this one here so it should be his rules IMO. They just weren't posted consistently which caused a little confusion.
No problem. This "competition" is just for fun, to show your nice photos, and you don't actually win anything... there's no need to change any rules, just keep posting, and vote for others that you like.

Went on a day trip into the Clayoquot Sound area of Vancouver Island with my son and the father-in-law. Hand-held at 1/15 of a second... Must have been low on coffee to get the shot.
