p.1 #1 · Off-Site Portable Battery Packs....suggestions?

Hello All! I recently purchased Britek studio lighting. Two 600 Watt Umbrella lights and a softbox. I am looking for a portable battery pack that I can take with me for my outdoor and off site sessions. I dont want to use an extension cord. I would rather have a battery pack that has 2-3 electrical outlets. I dont want to spend a whole lot of money. Any suggestions? Looking for something in the $150-$300 range. Is there anything out there in that price range?

Basically you need something that is both a battery pack and an inverter, if you want something that is off-the-shelf just search amazon.

Just be ready to lug it around because they tend to be on the heavy side. When I do outdoor sessions I use equipment that runs off 12-32V batteries and a converted external laptop battery or other similar battery. If you already have a battery that works in the voltage range of the inverter, you might be able to rig up something more lightweight, but be sure you don't exceed the current or power rating of the battery.

If the Britek units are continuous lighting then the mini's are NOT recommended. More info as to why on Buff's website.

For continuous lighting a small 2k sine-wave inverter generator is probably the best bet. These units start at around $400 or so.
