Like a good Auto ISO?

Like usable ISO12800?

Like...active-point spot metering?

These are all reasons why I switched.

Runamuck, don't worry, I won't shoot upside down, only downside up.

CGrindahl, the left-side AF issue was my biggest concern with the switch. I'm hoping that because it is a later produced body it will not have that issue, but who knows.

Form, 100% viewfinder coverage was definitely another reason.

5d3 has the 100% VF and a probably-usable ISO12800, not sure about their new Auto ISO but I know it doesn't support exposure compensation (the D800's does).

5d3 looks good at 12,800, but it doesn't have the detail and dynamic range of the D800.

I called Allen's Camera (I ordered from them because they had it in stock) and they said nobody that has got a D800 from them has said they had AF issues. The one I got just came in too, so hopefully it is one that will be okay.
